Summer Camp 2026 Registration
Early registration/discount for UMBC Faculty/Staff members!
Good Afternoon UMBC Community,
Starting this year we will have an early registration to the UMBC Summer Day Camp for UMBC Faculty & Staff Members. General registration will begin on March 3rd at 12pm, UMBC Faculty & Staff will have access to register starting Sunday March 1, at 12pm. Information on how to register your CampDoc account can be found by accessing this information from our website: UMBC Summer Day Camp FAQ's.
UMBC Faculty & Staff members will receive a discount of $35 per week during registration using the code "STAFF 26". Discounts may not be combined or stacked.
We're excited to welcome campers back for another fun-filled summer with great activities and plenty of opportunities to learn and make friends. This summer we will be introducing some NEW themes such as: Decades Week, Space Week, Holiday Week, World Cup Week, and Game Show Week. While keeping some of our classic themes like Under the Big Top Week, At the Beach Week, Science and Conservation Week, and rounding out the summer with Color Wars!! All information such as pricing, dates, weekly descriptions, and more can be found on our website.

Feel like making a difference in your community? If you own a meal plan through UMBC, you are eligible to donate to our Save-a-Swipe program! You can donate 5-10 meals to Save-a-Swipe, where they will be pooled and delegated to students experiencing food insecurity later in the semester. We are very happy to announce that our program is back for the spring semester, and we look forward to how many lives we can change!

2/12/2025 Update
Hello Everyone!
For starters, thank you so much for your understanding during our Free Farmers Market today. For those who are unaware, unfortunately we had to cancel due to our distributors being in an accident; we hope and pray for a speedy recovery, and that everything is ok.
A few updates that I was talking about while at the Farmers Market:
1: I ordered extra food for our Maryland Food Bank delivery next week Wednesday the 18th (roughly 2.6k pounds). This is our main contribution to the food at our pantry in the commons, not our Free Farmers Market (a couple of questions arose about it today). In addition, next week Tuesday the 17th, there will be double limits with whatever we have in stock in preparation to restock Wednesday morning.
2: Free Farmers Market on the 19th will be at the Center for Wellbeing. For those who are unaware, it is the location in the picture seen below
3: When you visit our pantry, make sure to check out our whiteboard! They will have more general/future updates about our pantry and is updated weekly.

These trainings are designed to walk hiring managers and departmental staff through:

Common troubleshooting questions
Whether you're new to Handshake or looking for a refresher, these sessions will help streamline your student hiring process and ensure your opportunities are visible to students.

There will be a designated person around the waiting area with a roll of tickets in hand. Once you walk into the apartment community center (or wherever we may be), please walk towards them, retrieve your ticket, and wait patiently in the area until we start the service.
We will be calling everyone via the last 2 digits of your ticket number!
For example, if the first ticket starts with 73401, we'll call numbers from 73401 - 73415.
