We have a whole lot of new students coming in, many from warmer climates, and we know our current stock will go very quickly. <div><br></div><div>Please consider bringing in any winter wear you have to The Essential Space in RAC 235. Our hours are M-W and Friday 11am to 4pm. We are starting 2024 off in full swing and we are excited to share some upcoming Training &amp; OD events with you.</span></p><br><p><span>Apply for the LEAP Leadership Development Academy! </span></p><br><p><span>Are you either…</span></p><ul><li><p><span>A new people manager who needs to learn the foundational people skills to lead others and teams?  </span></p></li><li><p><span>A current supervisor who wants a tune-up on today’s critical foundational managerial competencies to support your team? </span></p></li></ul><br><p><span>If you answer ‘yes,’ we invite you to explore UMBC’s new LEAP Leadership Development Academy that launches this March!</span></p><br><p><span>LEAP is a 5-month leadership development academy designed to provide the critical professional competencies and people skills that new people managers need to be effective at leading others and teams. </span></p><br><p><span>This program will be delivered hybrid cohort-style with live in-person instructional sessions and virtual team coaching sessions.     <div class="html-content"><div>As UMBC continues to grow as a leader in the higher education space, it is critical that we retain our best people. Effective leadership is key to this imperative. The Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management department is excited to announce the launch of our LEAP Leadership Development Academy this August 2024! </div><div><br></div><div><em><strong>UMBC's LEAP Academy is a 5-month leadership development experience designed to provide the critical professional competencies and people skills that new people managers need to be effective at leading others and teams. This program is also appropriate for existing supervisors who need a tune-up on today's critical foundational managerial competencies to better support their team. </strong></em></div><div><br></div><div>This cohort-style program (3 separate 20-person cohorts) will be delivered in a hybrid format with live in-person instructional sessions and virtual team coaching sessions.
