Position Summary: Provides MICA with the vision and leadership for a comprehensive professional development program, serving undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni. Applications received by March 11, 2018 are best assured of receiving full consideration.
General Purpose: In conjunction with the Associate Dean for Student Integrated Learning establishes the overall vision for professional development at MICA, in addition to providing direct service to students and alumni.
Major Role Functions:
- Provides leadership and strategic vision for the nationally recognized Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development, managing a highly collaborative team of six staff members. Serves as the primary advocate for the priorities of the center with constituents.
- Partners with senior staff, faculty members, alumni and parents as well as other constituencies regarding the importance of professional development experiences for artists, designers and educators.
- Navigates with faculty partners the complexity of professional development needs within forty distinct majors, programs and concentrations.
- Serves as a vital educator on and off the MICA campus.
