We are  now recruiting for the Grand Challenge Scholars Program. If you are not familiar with the program, it is an opportunity for undergraduates in ALL majors to engage with broad problems facing society, ranging from clean water to better medicines, from a range of perspectives: research, interdisciplinary, entrepreneurship, global dimensions, and service.  The program is especially targeted at current sophomores, but freshmen and juniors may apply as well.

Application Details:

3. Short answer questions 
4. 2 letters of recommendation 
5. An optional letter of support

Applications are due by April 1, and any applications received passed this deadline will be subject to program capacity.

Our annual Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC) is quickly approaching, and with one week left before the application deadline, we'd like to urge you to start applying as soon as possible.

What is the CBIC?
The CBIC is an opportunity for UMBC students who are serious about starting a business.

Who Should Participate?
Any UMBC student (full or part time, graduate or undergraduate) with a dream of launching their own business soon.

Why Participate?
The CIBC will give you "real world" experience.  You'll be paired with a business mentor and you'll get helpful feedback and guidance.  You'll also get connected to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

·         Membership at the award winning Betamore campus in Federal Hill

·         Fundraising advice and Pitch practice with members of Betamore Angels.
