Assalamu Alaikum all,
If you have been nominated for a position on the UMBC MSA Cabinet, you will be receiving an email tonight! Please keep an eye out and check your emails. You will have two days to mull over a decision and reply back to the email informing us if you are accepting or rejecting your nomination. (The exact time frame will be in the emails you get). If there is no response to that email in the allotted time, any nominations will be nullified.
A few things to note:
1.) Some of you may have been nominated for multiple positions. Please accept only ONE of the positions if you are choosing to accept.
2.) Please think seriously about the overall commitment the MSA cabinet requires and respond to your nomination responsibly. Accepting a nomination is an Amana and if you are, in turn, named to that position, then you should take it seriously. We recommend doing isthikhara if you can.
3.) If there are multiple acceptances for a position, we will holding voting open to the general body to decide the winner of the position. More information on voting will be disclosed later this week, if needed.
4.) Most importantly of all, Let us all check our intentions. Our hope in serving the MSA should ultimately be to gain the pleasure of Allah SWT and to do our part in representing our beautiful deen to the campus and community at large.
