MEEC Conference Session Proposals

<Tagline>sessions will be awarded in early February</Tagline>

The MEEC Member Conference and Vendor Showcase is
Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Martin’s West in Windsor Mill, MD. The
Conference will be a full day of presentations, exhibits and networking,
designed to bring together MEEC Members and Vendors in both an educational and
social atmosphere.

The sessions presented by MEEC Members and Vendors are
critical to the success of this conference. Member sessions are always
highly rated by our attendees. Evaluations from last year’s conference
indicate attendees want more member-led sessions. PLEASE SUBMIT.
Vendors, consider including a Member who has used your services or products and
have a great story to tell. In the past, sessions have showcased case
studies, their experiences, new tools, new ideas and new approaches to the use
of products/services purchased from MEEC agreements. Here is your chance to
help others by presenting on a topic that supports technology in education.
(Please note the addition of Member-only Fast-Track Sessions.) Session
Submissions open November 28 and the deadline for submission is January 16,
2019 at 5pm.

Our aim is to balance the program for product/software/service among K-12,
Higher Ed, Libraries and general topics. Sessions that offer wide appeal
to the MEEC Membership will be rated highly. The MEEC Conference is
attended by staff from Information Technology, Purchasing, Instructional
Technology, Instruction, Administration, and more. Not all
submissions are awarded a session. Session descriptions are limited to
1,000 characters. You will receive notification of submission results via
email by early February. If you have any questions please contact Darby Ashmore or Tamara Petronka.

The Palo Alto Networks
security operating platform is built on core security principles. Application
and user visibility is provided through our APP-ID and USER-ID
capabilities for identity management security. Virtual Segmentation allows
us to limit the scope of vulnerability, limit data exfiltration, and limit
the scope of compliance. We can protect both North-South via public,
private or hybrid cloud, and East- via existing hardware and virtual
machines. Advanced and Zero Day Attack prevention and remediation is
provided down to the endpoints via our platform approach that is powered
through our threat intelligence engine. Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation
Security Platform provides Higher Education and K-12 institutions around
the world with coordinated, highly effective, and easily administered
threat prevention, protecting sensitive data and ensuring regulatory
compliance while maintaining high network performance.
