For the last couple of years the MCS program/department has helped support families through The House of Ruth, which is a non-profit that helps women and children affected by domestic violence.  Basically each faculty member pitches in some financial support and then we shop based on a list we are provided by House of Ruth.  

We are currently determining how much money we have collectively so we can let House of Ruth how many we are going to be able to support.  We wanted to extend the opportunity to the COM if you guys wanted to collaborate and pitch in something like $50.  This is just an idea that we wanted to extend to you and you are in no way obligated to participate.  So if I don't hear from anyone I will just assume there wasn't interest in participating in this event.
