Congratulations to two of our MARC U*STAR Scholars who have been selected for 2016 scholarships by the Goldwater Foundation. They are:
Daniel Ocasio, Junior, Chemical Engineering (PI, Lee Blaney, Chemical, Biochemical and Environmental Engineering). Daniel's career goal is to earn a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and conduct research in water treatment/quality.
Andreas Seas, Junior, Chemical Engineering (PIs, Alexey Kamenskiy, Jason MacTaggart, University of Nebraska Medical Center). Andreas' career goal is to earn a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. "My ultimate goal is to conduct research in vascular mechanobiology and teach students at the university level."
