Primary responsibilities include:
- Contacting and meeting potential students who may be interested in an Aging major
-Utilize the KIOSK located at the Commons during free hour
-Manage the department's social media accounts
- Provides information regarding major/minor requirements and program benefits to prospective students via phone or email
-Assists new students with the enrollment process
-Works with recruitment staff to coordinate assigned activities with those of other programs, departments, and outside agencies and organizations
-Provide multi-campus support during registration, special events and tours
-May plan, coordinate and organize departmental events
-May facilitate planning, organization and implementation of special events, and serve as marketing liaison for Outreach & Recruitment
-May plan and implement monthly, multi-campus college information sessions
-Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of marketing and sales techniques
Knowledge of curriculum program offerings at UMBC
Ability to work well with individuals with diverse backgrounds
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Should be familiar with Social media management including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc.
$9/hr, 10-15 hrs/week
