    <div class="html-content"><span>The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is offering
              current UMBC undergraduates with an opportunity to apply for a
              deep immersive experience in research activities in
              economics.  <br><br>The program is designed for top undergraduate
              students with strong quantitative and analytical backgrounds
              of all majors.  <br><br>These positions offer a $10,000 Stipend plus
              Housing.  <br><br>The program has a rolling admission with an absolute
              deadline of December 15th.  Rolling admission means that applications will be considered as soon as they are submitted and very strong candidate may be offered a position BEFORE all applications have been received. <Title>Summer Internship: National Air and Space Museum!</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><h1>SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM</h1><p>Our Summer Internship Program offers an opportunity for college and university students to gain work experience in a wide variety of disciplines. Interns learn firsthand about the historic artifacts and archival materials housed in the Museum and study the scientific and technological advances they represent.</p><p>Each year, positions are available in a variety of Museum areas such as aircraft restoration, aviation or space history, planetary science, collections management, web and new media, exhibit and graphic design, public relations, budget and finance, architecture and engineering, and education. Students from all fields of study are encouraged to apply.</p><p><strong>Location and Schedule<br></strong>Many interns work in the Museum in Washington, DC, but others work at the <a href="http://airandspace.si.edu/visit/udvar-hazy-center/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center</a> in Chantilly, Virginia, or the <a href="http://airandspace.si.edu/garber/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Paul E. Garber Preservation, Restoration, and Storage Facility</a> in Suitland, Maryland. A commitment of 10 weeks during the summer is required. Full-time interns work 40 hours per week beginning the first week in June until the second week in August.</p><p><strong>Stipend and Housing<br></strong>A $5,500 stipend is provided to help interns defray expenses. Information on lodging options is provided upon selection as an intern, but interns are responsible for locating and securing lodging.<br></p><p><strong>Eligibility<br></strong>To be considered for a summer internship, you must be a high school graduate and be enrolled in a degree-granting undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university. You are expected to have a strong academic record. Applicants from outside the U.S. are welcome! <Title>Casting Call - Submit a photo of yourself today</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><p><span>Dr. Tyson King Meadows, Chair of the Department of Africana Studies, is </span><span>looking
     for individuals to volunteer for one day to help out with his research. He
     needs volunteers to be the talent in foreground and background photos 
    which will be used in ads. Volunteers will receive candy as 
    compensation. Volunteers will sign release forms allowing the photos to 
    be used in the ads. <br></span></p><p><span>Two groups are needed:</span><br></p><p>1.      6-7 Adult Males (ages 18 +), 6-7 Adult Females (ages 18+)</p><p>○      mix of Caucasian, African American, and Asian <strong>to portray professionals</strong></p><p>○      Will need to provide own clothes (Neckties and suit jacket for men, business wear for women)</p><p><br></p><p>2.     7 - 10 young adults - men and women - Prefer first year college students</p><p>○      Mix of Caucasian and African American</p><p>○      Need to appear as high-school to college-student age range</p><p><br></p><p>No modeling experience required or necessary.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Must be available on <span><span>Wednesday, 11/18</span></span>, in the morning</strong> (likely starting at <span><span>9:00am</span></span>) <strong>for two hours</strong>.</p><p>Candy will be provided for compensation. <span><br></span></p><p><strong>To be considered for this, e-mail right away </strong><a href="mailto:ra4tkm@umbc.edu" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">ra4tkm@umbc.edu</a><span>.  Attach at least 1 photo of yourself that is well lit and in focus against a plain background.             <p>     The MARC U*STAR Program at
                UMBC<span>
                supports talented undergraduate </span><span>students from
                underrepresented groups who plan to pursue a Ph.D. and a
                research career in <strong>biomedical, behavioral or </strong></span><span><strong>mathematical sciences
                </strong>research, and who have a demonstrated interest in
                diversification of the biomedical research </span><span>workforce. The program supports <strong>full time juniors </strong></span><span><strong>and seniors who intend
                to pursue a Ph.D. </strong>The program is not intended to support
                students who plan to pursue a MD </span><span>only.</span></p>

                cumulative 3.2 GPA each semester to remain eligible for

            <p>     MARC is seeking<strong> highly-able sophomores from UMBC and eligible students who
                have transferred or plan to transfer to UMBC from community colleges
    </strong>            and other higher education institutions. <br></p><p><br>
              </p>
            <p>For consideration, eligible
                applicants must meet the following criteria:</p>
            <p><br>
              </p>
            <p>♦ Be a citizen, noncitizen
                national, or permanent resident of the United States.</p>
            <p>♦ Have a minimum of 60 university
                or college credits at the time of entrance into the program.</p>
            <p>♦ Ability to earn an undergraduate
                degree from UMBC in a declared major in two years upon
                entering the</p>
            <p>MARC Program, unless an exception
                is granted by the MARC Steering Committee.</p>
            <p>♦ Have a 3.2 cumulative GPA with a
                major related to biomedical, behavioral or mathematical
                sciences</p>
            <p>(Biological Sciences, Chemistry,
                Biochemistry &amp; Molecular Biology, Psychology,
                Biopsychology,</p>
            <p>Bioinformatics &amp; Computational
                Biology, Environmental Science, Mathematics and Statistics,</p>
            <p>Engineering, or approved
                interdepartmental studies.)</p>
            <p>♦ Plan to pursue a Ph.D. and a
                career in biomedical, behavioral or mathematical sciences.
                (Students who</p>
            <p>plan to pursue MD/Ph.D. will be
                considered.)</p>
            <p>♦ Have outstanding SAT scores with
                a math score of about 600 or ACT of about 23.</p>
            <p>♦ Submit letters of recommendation
                from two or more professors who taught one of your classes
                in the</p>
            <p>Sciences, Psychology, Mathematics,
                or Engineering or with whom you have conducted research, who
                are</p>
            <p>able and willing to comment on
                your potential as a biomedical, behavioral or mathematical
                sciences</p>
            <p>researcher.</p>
            <p>♦ Clearly demonstrate an
                understanding of the value of a diversified biomedical,
                behavioral and mathematical</p>
            <p>sciences research workforce.</p>
