<Title>PAID Summer Opportunity in Biological Illustration!</Title>
<Tagline>California Academy of Scientists: San Francisco</Tagline>

    <div class="html-content"><p>The California Academy of Sciences announces an internship in biological illustration. The internship is open to currently enrolled undergraduate students interested in developing illustration techniques related to biological specimens. The intern will work with one or more Academy scientists to develop illustrations that may be used in scientific publications. The internship is integrated with the activities of the Summer Systematics Institute (SSI), and the successful applicant will be encouraged to participate in all SSI activities with fellow interns, including lectures, seminars, presentations, and social activities.</p><p>The California Academy of Sciences is a natural history museum supporting research and collection activities in the disciplines of Anthropology, Botany, Entomology, Herpetology, Ichthyology, Invertebrate Zoology, Ornithology, Mammalogy, and Paleobiology. </p></div>

    <div class="html-content">The department of mathematics at Seattle University is looking for undergraduate students, particularly rising sophomores, juniors, and community college students for a paid summer research program.     <div class="html-content">Colby College in Waterville, Maine is offering 8 undergraduate students a chance to conduct ground-breaking interdisciplinary research on ecological, economic and cultural roles of church forests in Amhara, Ethiopia.<div><br></div><div>Students will receive training at Colby College in social survey and ecological methods, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and written and oral communication skills. <Title>PAID Summer Research Opportunity in Education!</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><span>The Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) is a 10-week internship that provides undergraduates from underrepresented groups with valuable research and professional development experience under the guidance of UVA Faculty conducting education research. This internship program is designed to encourage students from groups traditionally underrepresented in the field of education research to pursue graduate study and consider careers in academic, policy, or research organizations. Interns will work on research focusing on schools, classrooms, and other youth settings as contexts critical to child and adolescent development. </span><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>SURP is an 10-week full-time program. Interns will spend 8 weeks in Charlottesville as well as participate in a week of pre- and post- internship work prior to arriving and after completion of the program. Interns arrive in Charlottesville June 12 and depart August 6. Interns must be able to commit to the full 10 weeks of the program (including weekends).</span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span><br></span></div></div>

<Title>PAID Summer Research Opportunity for Pre-Med Students!</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><div>Each summer, fifteen students are selected from a nationwide competition to join SRTP. Each student is assigned to a specific MGH laboratory, clinical site, health policy, or health services research area where they undertake an original research project under the mentorship and guidance of a Mass General Hospital (MGH) investigator. Assignments are carefully considered and are made with the student's research and career interests in mind. In addition to this unique research experience, students will gain knowledge through weekly didactic seminars, both at the MGH and at Harvard Medical School, and have opportunities for clinical shadowing.</div><p> </p><h3>Program Terms</h3><p>The Summer Research Trainee Program is a mandatory eight week program, running from <span>Monday, June 13 to Thursday, August 4, 2016</span>. Students are paired with an MGH faculty preceptor who provides guidance and mentorship in a new or ongoing research project.</p><div>Students are expected to:<ul><li>Attend a full day orientation on Monday, June 13, 2016</li><li>Prepare an abstract of the research project</li><li>Prepare an oral presentation of their work at the completion of the program</li><li>Attend mandatory, weekly didactic seminars</li><li>Complete all program, hospital and occupational health requirements (e.g. proof of health insurance, vaccinations)</li></ul></div></div>
