PAID 2016 Summer Research Opportunity! Work in Missouri's Botanical Garden for Research in Botany!

Missouri's Botanical Garden is offering a 10-week summer research program for undergraduate students in Plant Systematics, Conservation Biology, and Ethnobotany.

***Students will receive food, housing, research support and a weekly stipend of $525

Students will:

Work with Ph.D. mentors on an independent research project
Participate in professional development sessions in a variety of topics, including writing skills, research ethics, GRE preparation, graduate school, and sustainable living
Attend field trips to local natural sites and cultural attractions

Program Date: May 23-July 29, 2016

Visit the Redox Biology Center in Nebraska!

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Redox Biology Center is offering Undergraduates a 10-week summer program sponsored by the NSF.

***Students will receive a stipend of $5,500 in addition to housing, a full meals program, on campus parking, and access to University Health Care and Recreation Centers. A travel allowance is also available for those who are not able to drive to campus.

Students will:

Focus on projects in redox biology
Formulate and test hypotheses
Develop experimental problem-solving skills
Receive training in biochemical, biophysical and molecular biology techniques
Learn to use HPLC and FPLC systems, EPR spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, and microscopy
Attend meetings to exchange their research information and discuss areas of biochemistry/redox biology of interest
Attend weekly meetings with various scientists who describe the latest advances in their own research and career opportunities
Attend social, recreational and cultural events with program participants and faculty
Present their project at a session and receive certificates of completion

Program Date: June 6th, 2016- August 10th, 2016

Northern Arizona University's Department of Psychological Sciences is offering a summer research program on the Social Psychophysiology of Compassion.

Did you conduct your own artistic work or research last year? Would you like to share your AMAZING work with the UMBC campus?

If so, Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day (URCAD) is the perfect opportunity for you. This year, the 20th Annual URCAD will take place on Wednesday April 27 and all students must submit an online application to participate.

If you have NOT submitted your URCAD online application including your faculty mentor's recommendation, please do so before TUESDAY FEBRUARY 23.
