Duties
Plans, develops, implements and evaluates academic exchange programs under guidelines established by the Department through the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the William Fulbright Foreign Scholarships Board, and in consultation with posts, binational Fulbright commissions, regional bureaus, cooperating organizations, and U.S. academic and professional communities.
Establishes and maintains links with U.S. academic and professional associations and institutions to obtain support and advice for the Bureau's exchange programs and to help these organizations with their own international programs.
Promotes U.S. higher education in one or more major world regions through the Branch's network of EducationalUSA advising centers.
Provides support to Fulbright and other educators, Fellows and students, American and foreign and the U. S. academic community, by developing and conducting orientation sessions, and speaking at professional and academic association meetings.
