Coastal Carolina University is excited to host the 81st meeting of the Southeastern Conference on Linguistics (SECOL). SECOL 81 will be held March 27-29, 2014 at the Embassy Suites Resort in sunny North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The
Southeastern Conference on Linguistics invites submissions for papers
for the 81st meeting. Twenty-minute papers and panels of 100 minutes
relating to the conference theme of Atlantic Englishes are especially
requested. Papers in all areas of language and linguistics are welcome,
including papers and panels on the teaching of linguistics.
Abstract should not exceed 500 words, excluding title and references. There may be an additional page for references and examples. Authors may submit up to two abstracts, one individual and one joint.
Abstracts must be submitted electronically (.pdf or Word document) through EasyAbstracts starting on September 15, 2013. All submissions must be received by 11:49pm (EST) of December 31, 2013.
Abstracts will be subjected to blind review, so author names should not appear anywhere on abstracts. Authors' contact information will be collected through the EasyAbstracts system.
