"Student Voices in Print: A Selection of Student Publications from the UMBC University Archives" showcases five student publications including The Retriever Weekly, Voices, Bartleby, Dialogue, and The Red Brick. The exhibit includes selections from the University Archives - photographs, archival documents, and highlights from the publications are featured. Reproductions of the first issue of each publication are available at the exhibit cases for visitors to browse.

      

The exhibit will be up through November in the Library Rotunda (by the elevators on the first floor).

These new printers will handle both color AND black-and-white printing. The printers will also be configured to allow copying, and scanning to a flash drive.

Current UMBC students, faculty, and staff will still be able to print from the Retriever Learning Center on Thursday.

In addition, the iMacs will be offline as they are networked to the new printers.

Of particular interest is the One Source database for financial data and news on national and international companies. Patrons can use basic lookups, company and industry profiles and a variety of search variables to find information on international companies and executives.

Current UMBC faculty, students, and staff can access the database through the Visit Website button below. For off-campus access, please login via VPN first (http://vpn.umbc.edu) and follow the link to the UMBC Library Homepage. Then follow the link under "News & Events" on the Library's homepage to return to this post and click on the "View Website" button to access the database. The trial will run through the month of September.
