Rank each candidate in your desired order, with 1 being your first choice, and the highest number being your last. 

In the event that there is no majority winner(>50%) for any position, the person with the lowest number of votes will be removed from the list, and all votes for that candidate shall be moved to the voters second choice. The process will repeat until a majority of votes go to a single candidate.

Hopefully next year we will be able to hold practices and be a club again.

Vice President:

  -Manage member recruitment/retention

Treasurer:

  -manage fundraising

  -manage the organizations funds and ensuring compliance with all financial rules and guidelines

Terms for newly elected officers begin on May 1st.

Due to the limited contact, and no official meetings taking place right now, elections will be held online. I have included a template for anyone who wants to run for a position. You must be an approved member to run for a position. Please keep it to 1 slide, you may edit/design it in any way you want, as long as the information is readable. You may run for more than one position.

Candidates will be accepted from April 7th-April 23rd. To run for a poisiton, please send a powerpoint or google slides document to umbc.jujitsu@gmail.com. 

On April 24th, all the PowerPoint slides will be merged into a single presentation and distributed to all members who are eligible to vote. Voting will be a through a google form from April 25th-30th. Voting will use Ranked Choice Voting, in order to determine the best candidate. On May 1st, the new officers will be notified of their positions.

Unfortunately, for the fall semester, there will be no official practices held on campus. We still need all club members to complete the registration form, as this is an important analytical tool for the Club Sports department, especially for this semester.

Involvement Fest will be held online this year, and more details will be posted soon, if you would like to help out.

We have been trying to meet about once a week, on Mondays at 8:30PM as this is when our practices were held.

Lastly, I would like to take a moment to thank every one of you for making this year a really fun and enjoyable experience. It is quite a shame that everything was cut short. Of all the things that could have happened, this is certainly the strangest. I hope to see everyone next year, and in the mean time, stay safe!
