NASA's Applied Remote Sensing Training Program (ARSET) conducted a two and half day (September 29 - October 01, 2014) training on Remote Sensing Data Usage for Air Quality Assessment at EPA' office in the Research Triangle Park, NC. Pawan Gupta (Code 614) and Brock Blevins (UMBC/JCET) provided presentations (and hands on exercises) on key NASA satellites and data products, and their application for air quality monitoring. There were 30 EPA staff members who participated in the training. On the last day, participants took what they learned in the first two days and presented case studies that included the impact of fires on local and regional air quality. This training was lead by Dr. Pawan Gupta. The ARSET program is managed by Dr. Ana Prados (Code 614).
