Dr. Tianle Yuan assisted with organizing the Second Annual Young Scientist Forum ("Forum"), which took place in Building 33 on June 26, 2014. The Forum highlights included 17 science talks on remote sensing and modeling of trace gases, aerosols, and mesoscale processes, as well as a poster session with 14 participants. The participants were scientists in Codes 612, 613, 614, and the GMAO Office who received their degree within the past 10 years. Additionally, Dorothy Zukor (Code 610), Matt McGIll (Code 612), Dong Wu (Code 613), and Anne Thompson (Code 614) participated in discussions on career advancement and the future of the atmospheric science field. The Forum was organized by a committee that included John Yorks (SSAI/Code 612), Joe Munchak (UMD/Code 612), Tianle Yuan (UMBC/Code 613), Leigh Munchak (SSAI/Code 613), Valentina Aquila (UMD/Code 614), and Can Li (UMD/Code 614).
