Congratulations to Dr. Vanderlei Martins and his team for completing the first mechanical shakedown test flight of the Open Imaging Nephelometer (O-Ineph) system was completed last night around 9 p.m. The O-Ineph is mounted outside the wing of the NASA P3 aircraft and it requires huge structural work to survive the loads of the aircraft (see attached photo). This is a very important step towards a fully working system and we congratulate the team for their efforts!
