June 15-17, Petya Campbell co-lead the virtual Joint Mediterranean (MedRIN) and South-Central European Regional International Network (SCERIN) Workshop. The workshop focused on Ecosystem health, drought, and wildfires in the context of climate change and was attended by 80+ participants from both networks. NASA LCLUC program update was provided by Dr. Garik Gutman (NASA HQ) and the GOFC-GOLD Regional Information Networks update by Krishna Vadrevu. Jeff Masek (618/GSFC) presented the status of the LANDSAT program. Petya Campbell reported on the SCERIN status and goals. During the workshop remote sensing researchers, educators, and business professionals from 19 countries informed on the remote sensing focus and efforts in their country. The workshop advanced the work and planning of the networks, and discussed new ideas for joint SCERIN and MedRIN activities and publications.
