<Title>Spring 2014 JCET Graduate Student Seminar Series</Title>

    <div class="html-content">The Spring 2014 JCET Graduate Student Seminar series is off to a great start.  This semester's topic is Wind Energy.  Dan Miller kicked off the series with a discussion of wind flow modeling on Monday, February 10.  (See attached photo).  The seminars are held on Mondays at Noon in Physics 401.  Here's a <a href="https://sites.google.com/a/umbc.edu/jcet-gra-seminars/home/spring-2014-wind-energy-lectures/schedule" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">link to the schedule</a>.  The topics are presented at the upper undergraduate, science major level.  The seminars are open to anyone who is interested.  <br></div>

<Title>Dr. Hrabowski is the newest member of Team UMBC ISON</Title>

    <div class="html-content">As Comet ISON heads behind the Sun for a potential disruptive perihelion passage, <a href="http://jcet.umbc.edu/files/2013/11/ISON-Group.jpg" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Susan Hoban and Team UMBC ISON</a> are gearing up for an intensive observing campaign in January and February 2014.  If the comet survives its close approach to the Sun, the comet will be visible conveniently in the evening hours for interested viewers in the Baltimore area.  Hoban's group will be hosting a public viewing event on campus.  Stay tuned for details.</div>
