Sounds interesting?     <div class="html-content"><p>The California Academy of Sciences announces an internship in biological illustration. The internship is open to currently enrolled undergraduate students interested in developing illustration techniques related to biological specimens. The intern will work with one or more Academy scientists to develop illustrations that may be used in scientific publications. The internship is integrated with the activities of the Summer Systematics Institute (SSI), and the successful applicant will be encouraged to participate in all SSI activities with fellow interns, including lectures, seminars, presentations, and social activities.</p><p>The California Academy of Sciences is a natural history museum supporting research and collection activities in the disciplines of Anthropology, Botany, Entomology, Herpetology, Ichthyology, Invertebrate Zoology, Ornithology, Mammalogy, and Paleobiology. </p></div>

This week we present an ad in <em>The Retriever </em>for the student lounge and bar The Rathskeller. <div><br></div><div><img src="http://library.umbc.edu/speccoll/img/AG_13a.jpg" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto;"></div><div><em><br></em></div><div><em>The Retriever, Volume 15, Number 19, March 11, 1981. University Publications, University Archives, Special Collections, University of Maryland, Baltimore County (Baltimore, MD) </em></div><div><br></div><div><span>The Hillcrest Building, UMBC's first administration building, was a center for student recreational activities including sororities, fraternities, game clubs, and The Rathskeller, also known as "The Ratt," a student lounge/ bar situated in the basement of Hillcrest. The Rathskeller was open for 34 years, providing UMBC students with a place for drinking, dancing, eating, and hanging out outside of classes.     <div class="html-content">The department of mathematics at Seattle University is looking for undergraduate students, particularly rising sophomores, juniors, and community college students for a paid summer research program.
