Four Warlocks enters, one Warlock leaves! Their battle field is an arena surrounded by burning lava. Each warlock possesses many powerful spells capable of destroying anyone in their way. Accurate casting of spells, extreme dodging of oncoming attack, or clever use of the surrounding environment, warlocks will use any means possible to stand to the last.</div><div><br></div><div>The gauntlet has been thrown!</div></div>

    <div class="html-content"><p><span>The third and fourth floors of the AOK Library are Quiet areas.  These are good places to study if you don’t mind the occasional whisper or vibrating phone. </span></p><br><p><span>The fifth and sixth floors of the AOK Library are designated Absolute Quiet areas at all times.  If you need an environment free from talking, cell phones, or any other noise sources, these are the floors for you!  Library staff walk through the area periodically to enforce quiet rules, but you can also report violations to the Security Desk at 410-455-2331 or Circulation Department staff at 410-455-2354.</span></p></div>

<Title>Spanish Lab Walk in tutoring</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><span>Hi Retrievers!</span><div><br></div><div>As you all know, UMBC requires you to complete a foreign language for graduation and many UMBC students choose Spanish. While foreign languages may come easily to others, some students may need a little extra help. That's where the Spanish Lab comes in!</div><div><br></div><div><strong><em>Spanish Lab? What is that? How does it work?</em></strong></div><div><br></div><div><strong>The Spanish Lab is a walk in Spanish help program that the Learning Resources Center is piloting this semester.</strong> This is a space where you can work on your Spanish homework or group projects and ask tutors for help if you need it. It's like having a study hall with tutors available if you have questions. <strong>If you're taking a Spanish class up to SPAN 201 and you don't understand something--this is the chance of a lifetime</strong>...or well of a <em>semester</em> anyway.</div><div><br></div><div><strong><em>When and where does this happen?</em></strong></div><div><br></div><div>Spanish Lab runs <strong>every Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. until May 12, 2017. </strong>The lab will be located on the first floor of the library, in the space that the Writing Center and Math Lab normally occupy.</div><div><br></div><div><strong><em>What should I bring?</em></strong></div><div><br></div><div>Bring questions! Bring projects! Bring anything that you are working on for your Spanish class! <Title>Don't Miss URCAD: April 26th!</Title>
<Tagline>Over 250 Undergraduate Presenters in All Disciplines</Tagline>

    <div class="html-content"><p><strong>Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day (URCAD)</strong> features research, scholarship, and creative work carried out by UMBC undergraduates. Student work is shared through oral presentations, posters, artistic exhibits and performances, and film.</p><p>Over 250 presenters participate annually. Researchers work with faculty mentors on independent research, or research that is part of the mentor’s on-going projects.  They are from all disciplines, and can be working on a thesis, capstone project, part of a scholars or honors program, or they can be unaffiliated with other programs.</p><p>Students who have received <a href="http://ur.umbc.edu/ura/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Undergraduate Research Awards</a> (URA) for the previous year will be presenting their findings. The <a href="http://ur.umbc.edu/umbc-review/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">UMBC Review</a>, UMBC’s annual peer-reviewed research journal, which features academic papers written by UMBC undergraduates, makes its debut at this event- stop by and get your copy! Come hear the alumni <a href="http://urcad.umbc.edu/speaker/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">keynote speaker </a>talk about their experiences after UMBC, and how being an undergraduate researcher benefited them.</p><p>UMBC is unique in providing this opportunity for undergraduate students to conduct and present their research in a professional and supportive setting.  Students get valuable feedback from their peers, faculty, and staff, and practice their public speaking and presentations skills.  This campus-wide celebration of achievement affirms UMBC’s commitment to the twin goals of research and a distinctive undergraduate experience.</p></div>

    <div class="html-content"><p>"<a href="http://tntpteachingfellows.org/baltimore/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Baltimore City Teaching Residency</a> <span>recruit candidates without a background in education to become an 
    effective teacher for the students who need them the most.
    <strong>This year in Baltimore, we have a shortage of Special Education and 
    Science teachers.</strong></span></p><p><span>Baltimore
     City students need and deserve creative teachers to share the wonders 
    of Biology or Chemistry. And those students with additional learning 
    needs could
     benefit greatly from the fresh-thinking and experience your school has 
    already provided. </span></p><p><a href="http://tntpteachingfellows.org/baltimore/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Baltimore City Teaching Residency</a>
     trains accomplished professionals and recent college graduates to 
    become exceptional, certified teachers
     for the Baltimore students who need them most. Only twelve credit hours in Biology
     or Chemistry (or related coursework)
     are needed to qualify.</p><p></p>

    <p>Most enrollees who enter 
    into the Special Education program have little to no prior background in
     Special Education. As a Baltimore Special Education Resident you would 
    be dual certified, which makes you a valuable
     prospect for hiring Principals and doubles your future teaching 
    options.<br>
    <br>
    Special Education Residents benefit from a range of choices in classroom
     settings. Most BCTR Residents teach students with mild-to-moderate 
    disabilities. In fact, students are learning the same content as their 
    grade-level peers in a general education setting.
     You may work with a co-teacher, have a small group of students, or a 
    combination of these settings.

These objects, along with other outside sources, show how Margaret acted as an agent in building a vibrant and active life, rather than that of a lonely spinster academic.</div></div>

    <div class="html-content">You can print from any laptop or mobile device using <a href="https://mobileprint.umbc.edu/myprintcenter/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Pharos MobilePrint</a>.  Just visit <a href="https://mobileprint.umbc.edu/myprintcenter/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">this website</a> and upload your document.  Then head to the Library!  You can release and pick up the print job on the 1st, 2nd, or 7th floor, or in the RLC.  <br><br>Your document will remain in the print queue for 2 hours; if they are not retrieved before then, print jobs will have to be resent.<br><br>Having trouble?  Check out DoIT’s <a href="https://wiki.umbc.edu/display/faq/Pharos+Mobile+Printing" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">device-specific directions for using Pharos MobilePrint</a>!<br><br></div>
