A Night of Art and Music
Wednesday, April 20, 2011 · 6 - 10 PM
On Wednesday, April 20, the Interdisciplinary Studies Council of Majors will be hosting art.REACH, a night of art and music provided by UMBC artists to raise money for the Brooklyn and Curtis Bay Coalition Inc.
The Coalition is a "non-profit community development corporation" that works to improve the communities of Brooklyn and Curtis Bay, which lie across the Patapsco River from Baltimore City. The board of directors includes local business and community leaders dedicated to increasing home ownership, decreasing the presence of drugs and doing everything possible to strengthen these historic communities.
art.REACH will raise money for this amazing organization by providing space for UMBC artists, musicians, fashion designers, and crafters to display and sell their work to attendees. This will also give UMBC students a chance to gain valuable exposure for their talent.
UC Ballroom - 6:00 p.m.
