Campus wide power outage

On Friday, March 14, 2025, beginning at 6:00 AM, the UMBC Electric Shop will be performing necessary electrical testing to ensure the reliability of our systems. This work will result in two brief power outages, each lasting approximately 30 to 60 seconds:

First outage: 6:00 AM
Second outage: 6:15 AM
Full power restoration by: 6:30 AM

To minimize disruptions, we recommend that all computers not connected to a UPS be shut down prior to the outage. Please note that emergency circuits, fire alarm panels, and elevators will remain operational during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we complete this essential testing.
