Campus chilled water outage Jan 6th - 19th, 2026 This is a reminder we will be performing our campus chilled water outage starting tomorrow. The outage will start at 6 am Tuesday January 6, 2026 and will be completed by 6 am Monday January 19, 2026. 

The ILSB is equipped with it's own redundant chilled water system on the roof, which will be activated today. It has been tested and is ready to go, so we should not see any degradation in operations of environmental rooms or building systems

Monday 7:40 AM - 4:00 PM
Tuesday 7:40 AM - 3:15 PM

The building will be locked from 12/24 until 1/4 and will be open again starting on January 5th at 7:40 AM. We will be open in the evenings based on winter courses be held in the facility.

Make sure to review the announcement boards in the atrium of the building for the hours throughout January.

The Facilities department has added chain restraints to the gas cylinder cage at the loading dock. Please make sure you keep everything secure whether you are retrieving tanks for your lab or returning empties.

Always remember that the delivery personnel will never take back an empty tank with out the corresponding lid and labs will accrue demurrage charges for tanks not returned in a timely manner. 

While this is not an optimal solution for individual labs inventory, it is a step in the right direction while I work on a better solution.
