<Title>Autoclave Bags</Title>

    <div class="html-content">Hi all,<div><br></div><div>I spoke with Mike Pound yesterday and one of the concerns from the cleaning people are the use of red bags for autoclave waste. Red bags are generally designated for incineration and are considered more dangerous than the orange bags. The cleaning people are more accustomed to the orange bags and if we can avoid misunderstanding in the future, I'd like to do so. Let's use up our current stock of red bags, but try to order the orange waste bags in the future. </div><div><br></div><div>Thank you all for your attention and understanding. </div></div>

Please make certain autoclave indicator tape is attached to each bag of waste prior to autoclaving.</div><div><br></div><div>Please see below:</div><div><br></div><div><div>Dennis,</div><div>     ABM has reached out to me a few times about the Red Bags not being Autoclaved and the red bags are put straight into the black trash bags. Are there issues with the autoclaves or bags that aren't changing to orange following being autoclaved? I'm just trying to defend what's happening but don't know the cause. <Title>Exhaust fan seal work next week</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><span>All,</span><div><br></div><div>Contractors will be out next week Monday through Wednesday to continue work on the seals on the exhaust fans on the roof. Hopefully this will be the last time they will need to be working on the units. Air pressure will continue to be less than optimal, but this hopefully will bring us much closer to getting us normal operations with the temperature, humidity and balancing.</div><div><br></div><div>With the number of people coming in, I'll leave the building an a normal Monday schedule, even with the University Holiday.</div></div>

    <div class="html-content">All,<div><br></div><div>Siemens was able to jump through some hoops and confirm that they would be ready for the retest of the Loss of Power Test on Tuesday, 01/21/2020 at 9:00PM.  This was really the last opportunity to perform the test prior to the Vivarium being prepped for animals.  </div><div><br></div><div>Please let everyone in your labs know. All sensitive electronics and vacuum pumps should be turned off at the the end of the day on Tuesday..</div></div>

This is the first I’m hearing about either issue, which is its own problem and will be addressed.</div></div><div><br></div><div>I’ll make sure the phones get straightened out Monday, but those are unlikely related to the wireless. I have folks investigating wireless issue now, can’t give an eta just yet but we’re on it.</div><div><br></div><div>Sorry for the disruption.</div></div>
