Effective today, the hiring exception process is no longer required for staff positions. Please see message below from Valerie A. Thomas, Associate Vice President of Human Resources.
Pending hiring exception requests will be returned to the departments. Hiring departments may proceed with submitting recruitment paperwork when they are ready to begin the search process. Please remember that all Personnel Requisitions continue to require division head/vice president approval signatures to initiate searches.
Please share this information with individuals in your department that are involved in the hiring/recruitment process.

On behalf of President Hrabowski and Provost Rous, I am writing to inform you that effective today, October 30, 2015, the hiring exception process will no longer be required to fill staff vacancies.
Pending hiring exception requests will be returned to the departments. Departments can proceed with completing the recruitment paperwork to begin the search process. Vice Presidents and Deans will continue to be responsible for monitoring hiring to ensure fiscal integrity. The approvals of Vice Presidents and Deans will still be required to initiate searches.
