UMBC is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for learning, and has initiated a Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Misconduct to support process toward that goal. We are reaching out to the entire student population as full partners in our efforts to eliminate sexual violence as we explore perceptions and experiences about aspects of sexual violence awareness, prevention and response at UMBC.
We want input from the full chorus of our diverse student body, and that means you! The instrument has been designed to support both privacy and candid responses. Given the sensitive nature of the inquiry, provisions for support and/or flexibility are also in place if any emotional distress is a concern. Some of the later questions ask about sexual or personal situations, however personally identifiable information is neither requested nor retained. The survey, which is being administered through Qualtrics, can be completed in less than fifteen minutes.
