    <div class="html-content"><span><p><span>The Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) encourages you to apply for the </span><span><strong>Student Loan Debt Relief Tax Credit</strong></span><span>, a program that helps state employees reduce their student loan debt. The application period is now open for the 2025 tax year.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>APPLICATION PERIOD</span></p><ul><li><span><span><strong>Opens:</strong></span><span> July 1, 2025</span></span></li><li><span><span><strong>Closes:</strong></span><span> September 15, 2025</span></span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><span>Completing the brief application could result in a significant tax credit, helping you pay down your existing student loan balances.
