Staff Award Nominations ~ Nominate a Staff Member!
Deadline for Nominations is October 31
UMBC's annual staff awards are an important way of recognizing the work being done every day by our dedicated exempt and nonexempt staff. Please take a moment to review the information regarding the awards and nominate someone who has been doing an exceptional job in that category. The deadline for nominations is October 31, 2024.
University System of Maryland Board of Regents' Staff Awards: recognizing demonstrated excellence in one of five specific areas of work
UMBC Presidential Distinguished Staff Awards: recognizing exceptional performance, leadership, and/or service
Jakubik Family Endowment Staff Award for Exempt or Nonexempt Staff: recognizing contributions toward the success of UMBC students
Karen L. Wensch Endowment Award for Outstanding Nonexempt Staff: recognizing excellence across a variety of areas of service
Teresa Lupinek Endowment Award for Exempt or Nonexempt Staff: recognizing staff whose work embodies many of the outstanding qualities for which Teresa and her work were known
Further descriptions of individual awards and the eligibility requirements for each, as well as the nomination form and a listing of previous awardees, can be found on the
Presidential Faculty and Staff Awards page.
Please

We will still include the same heart-warming stories, recipient and special awardee acknowledgments, and prizes that you’ve come to expect, and NEW this year will be a fun, interactive trivia game, Kahoot, as well as some special leadership messages! For more information check out our HR Service Awards Website!
IMPORTANT: This year requires registration by 12 NOON on November 30th in order to attend and be eligible for the raffle prizes! We look forward to seeing you on December 1st!
