<Title>USM MetLife enrollment changes</Title>
<Tagline>USM MetLife coverages are now evergreen!</Tagline>

    <div class="html-content">Good news! Employees no longer need to wait until the annual enrollment period to enroll in or make changes to their <strong>USM MetLife</strong> benefits. (USM = University System of Maryland)<div><br></div><div>Starting Monday, April 1, 2024, if you are a Regular or Contingent II (C2) employee, you can enroll in the USM-sponsored MetLife Term Life insurance &amp; Long-Term Disability benefits, make changes, or cancel your benefits anytime during the year. </div><div><div><br></div><div>Already enrolled and not interested in making changes? Your current coverage will continue seamlessly; no action is required.</div></div><div><br></div><div>If you are outside of your initial 60 days of USM employment, you will need to provide <strong>evidence of insurability</strong> (medical underwriting) to be approved for USM MetLife coverages. To complete your application, look for the "Start Your Statement of Health" button during enrollment.</div><div><br></div><div>MetLife will review your application and notify you of their decision and the effective date of your coverage.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Please note:</strong> USM MetLife coverages are <em>not </em>available in the SPS Workday system. Workday is the State's online system that administers State health benefits only. USM MetLife coverages can be found in the USM MetLife portal here: metlife.com/USMD.  </div><div><div><br></div><div>Enroll or review your USM MetLife benefits today at metlife.com/USMD. </div><div><br></div><div>Attached is a flyer with more information. </div><div><br></div><div>Questions about how to login and/or enroll in USM MetLife coverages?
