<Title>New Prescription vendor - MedImpact</Title>

We hope everyone had a safe and relaxing holiday break. <div><br></div><div>As a reminder, the State has a new prescription vendor, <strong>MedImpact</strong>, effective January 1, 2025. </div><div><br></div><div>CVS Caremark is no longer the State's prescription vendor. The last day of coverage under CVS Caremark was December 31, 2024. </div><div><br></div><div>Employees who were enrolled in prescription coverage in 2024 were automatically enrolled in MedImpact as of January 1, 2025. New employees who were hired in December 2024 and elected prescription coverage were enrolled with MedImpact. </div><div><br></div><div>Since the State only has one prescription vendor, this was a mandatory change for all State employees. All State of Maryland employees who were enrolled in prescription coverage during the 2024 calendar year were automatically enrolled in prescription coverage with MedImpact as of January 1, 2025. </div><div><br></div><div>The information about changing to MedImpact as the new prescription vendor was shared by the State Employee Benefits Division during their <a href="https://mymdbenefits.com/medimpact/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Open Enrollment period</a> this past Fall (Oct 15th - Nov 8th), and by the HRSTM Benefits &amp; Wellness Team during our <a href="https://hr.umbc.edu/benefits/open-enrollment/information-sessions/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Open Enrollment Information Session</a> and on our Open Enrollment <a href="https://hr.umbc.edu/benefits/open-enrollment/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">website</a>. </div><div><br></div><div><strong><br></strong></div><div><strong>MedImpact</strong></div><div><br></div><div>Here is the link to the <a href="https://openenrollment.medimpact.com/#/web/smd/homepage" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">MedImpact website</a> for more information. </div><div><br></div><div>State employees who have prescription coverage for the 2025 calendar year began receiving their MedImpact prescription cards to their home address around December 19, 2024 in envelopes from MedImpact (see image below and attached). </div><div><br></div><div><div>Please check your mail carefully for this envelope. If you did not receive your MedImpact card(s) in the mail, please call MedImpact at <strong>1-844-348-8508<span>. </span></strong></div><div><br></div><div>Employees should begin using their MedImpact cards at their pharmacy as of January 1, 2025, and they should discard their CVS Caremark prescription cards. </div><div><br></div><div>Employees and their covered spouse should have received MedImpact cards.
