This cohort-based experience will be delivered through a mix of engaging in-person instruction and team coaching. This is a unique opportunity open to all non-supervisory employees past their probationary period who are eager to take the first step on their leadership journey.</span></p><br><p><span>Program Summary: </span><span>This comprehensive leadership development program is designed to nurture your desire for leadership through a structured and engaging curriculum.     Employees Supplemental Retirement Plans, due to the Maryland General Assembly

    <p>Backup Care offers a high quality, subsidized solution when
    your regular care is unavailable. </p>
    
    <p>Daycare closed for vacation? Caregiver sick? Senior
    recovering from a fall? Care.com has flexible care options for kids and
    seniors, and helps you find the right care, whether through the Care.com
    network of vetted providers or using a preferred caregiver.</p>
    
    <p>Your Care.com membership is paid for by UMBC, and
    employees are eligible for up to<strong> 5 days </strong>of subsidized backup care (new for FY
    2026). </p>
    
    <p><strong>How it Works</strong></p>
    
    <p>1. Setup your <a href="https://hr.umbc.edu/work-life-balance/carework/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">account online</a> or login through the app. </p>
    
    <p>2. Search caregiver profiles, post a job, schedule
    interviews and request background checks. </p>
    
    <p>3. Once you're ready to hire, easily schedule and pay your
    caregiver on Care.com. </p>
    
    <p>Don’t have any childcare or eldercare needs? There are also
    hundreds of discounts you can access via the LifeMart Discount program,
    just by setting up your Care.com account.</p>

<Title>State Health Benefits Premiums Deduction holiday</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><h5>This is a notification that the paycheck on Friday, June 6, 2025 will have no deductions for the following State of Maryland benefits,
    due to the normally scheduled State Health Benefits premium deduction holiday
    schedule for Regular employees:</h5><div><br></div>
    
    <ul><li>Medical</li><li>Prescription</li><li>Dental</li><li>State of Maryland MetLife Term Life insurance</li><li>MetLife Accidental Death &amp; Dismemberment (AD&amp;D)
    insurance</li><li>Healthcare FSA and Dependent Care FSA (Flexible Spending
    Accounts)</li></ul>
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
    <p><span> </span></p>
    
    <p>This premium deduction holiday does not apply to University System
    of Maryland (USM) MetLife deductions for Long Term Disability (LTD) and/or Optional Term
    Life insurance coverages. </p>
    
    <p>Employee contributions to their supplemental retirement accounts (SRA) are not impacted by the premium deduction holidays, so the SRA contributions will occur per usual on the June 6, 2026 paycheck.</p><p><em>Health Benefits deduction holidays for Regular State of
    Maryland employees typically occur twice a year. The next deduction holiday is
