    <div class="html-content"><p><span>Constantine <span>Vaporis</span> (History) has been invited to deliver a lecture at a one-day seminar on the topic of <em>“The Making of the Samurai in Tokugawa Japan</em>.<em>”</em>The title of his lecture is “Performance, Display, and the Spectacular: The ‘Great Peace’ and Samurai Culture in Tokugawa Japan.”  The seminar is funded by the Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundation of Stockholm, Sweden, and will take place this May 18, 2017. The conference will be held at Engelsberg Ironworks--a UNESCO world heritage site.</span></p><p> </p></div>
