More details in text under the image." style="max-width: 100%; height: auto;"></p><p><strong>Deadline for Submission</strong><span>: June 15, 2025<br></span><strong>Maximum Award Amount</strong><span>: Up to $1,000<br></span><span>Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be considered.</span></p><div><br><strong>Purpose</strong><span>: </span><br><br><span>The Women's Forum commends and celebrates the achievements of students, faculty, and staff from across the system through award and scholarship programs. All awards and scholarships are open to any individual regardless of gender identity, race, color, religion, age, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status or disability. </span><br><br><strong>Eligibility</strong><span>: </span><br><br><span>The University System of Maryland (USM) Women's Forum Student Scholarship is open to any student who meets the following criteria:</span><br><br><span>- Attending a USM institution,</span><div>- All gendering identities are welcome to apply, <br>- Earned a minimum of 48 undergraduate OR 12 graduate credits (by June 1, 2025), <br>- Plan to enroll as a student for the Fall 2025 term, <br>- Currently has a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for undergraduate OR 3.25 for graduate at your USM institution (upload an unofficial university transcript),<br>- Students are eligible for only one scholarship per lifetime.<br><br><strong>Use of Funds: <br></strong><br>Students who receive the scholarship can use the awarded funds for any of the following: <br>- USM institution tuition<br>- Housing costs (ie rent, mortgage, utilities)<br>- Groceries <br>- Books for courses<br>- Technology for courses<br>- Child care<br>- Transportation<br><br><strong>Questions</strong>: If you have questions please email <a href="mailto:USMWFStudentAwards@gmail.com" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">USMWFStudentAwards@gmail.com</a>.</div></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span>The Women's Forum commends and celebrates the achievements of students, faculty, and staff from across the system through award and scholarship programs. TAR is a cornerstone of CIRTL's pedagogy, and future faculty throughout the network conduct TAR projects each year to examine specific questions in teaching through CIRTL's evidence-based, reflective, iterative process.</div><div><br></div><div>Read our <a href="https://cirtl.net/summer-2025-cirtl-network-programming/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">summer programming preview</a> to see our other courses and workshops on evidence-based teaching fundamentals and academic professional development.</div></div><div><br></div><div><div><strong>Wednesdays, June 18 - July 23 </strong></div><div><strong>Planning Your Teaching-as-Research Project.</strong></div><div><a href="https://uwmadison.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4Z2d5PM8Cct47vU" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Registration link</a></div><div><br></div><div>Develop a plan for a Teaching-as-Research project in this 6-week online course. In this course, you'll develop a plan that includes: a specific question to explore in your local teaching context</div><div>measurable student outcomes connected to your TAR question data collection methods that align with your question and outcomes, and reflect what's known in educational research relevant to your discipline Weekly course topics mirror the components of your project plan, and each week you'll have time to refine your plan through in-class feedback and activities with peers. By the end of the course, you'll have a project ready to implement. This course is fast-paced and intensive; each week participants will need to spend 4-6 hours outside of class working on your plan.
