GSO Registration Survey Form

<Tagline>Assist GSA in understanding how GSOs plan on using funding</Tagline>

Hi all,

The GSA is attempting to gather preferences of GSOs in regards to their requesting of funds. In determining a more equitable distribution of funds, the GSA is considering reforms to how funds are granted to GSOs. Please complete one form per organization. Submitting the below information will assist the GSA in understanding how GSOs plan on using funding and will overall benefit GSO fund allocation. We would also like to see what funding GSOs are planning to use for the rest of the semester and Spring 2022. The budget you submit is not formal, nor is it required, but it would be helpful for the GSA to see what type of events/amount of funds organizations are anticipating using.

The attached google form to submit is linked here. Please make a copy of this template and then upload it to the google form before submitting it.

Please submit this form by Monday, October 25th at 5 pm

Please forward any questions, comments, or concerns to the GSA at gsa@umbc.edu.

Open Enrollment Begins Today

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Open Enrollment for Health Benefits begins today, October 18, 2021, and will be open through 5 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021. Employees who are not making health benefit changes, do not need to take action. However, if you wish to continue a healthcare/dependent care Flexible Spending Account, you must re-enroll for coverage. The State of Maryland will send out important emails via the SPS Workday system (stateofmaryland@myworkday.com) regarding Open Enrollment. Retirees will have information mailed to their home address directly from the State of Maryland.

Open Enrollment will continue to be online in the SPS Workday system. Employees should visit the Human Resources website for more information on the SPS Workday system and for detailed instructions on accessing your workday account. During this time, employees can enroll in and/or make changes to their health benefits to become effective January 1, 2022. Employees choosing to make a healthcare or dependent care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) election for 2022 must login to SPS Workday prior to 5 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021.

We are pleased to announce that all existing plans and vendors will remain in place for 2022. However, the State has passed along minimal rate changes that will impact the medical, prescription, and dental plans in 2022. CareFirst, United Healthcare, and Kaiser medical plan rates will increase approximately 5 percent. CVS Caremark prescription plan rates will increase 10 percent for 2022. Dental plan rates will increase between 2.2 and 5 percent, depending on the plan and coverage level. The State of Maryland Accidental Death and Dismemberment and Life Insurance coverage rates will not increase in 2022. Open Enrollment rates and materials are posted on the HR Website.

Human Resources will host live virtual open enrollment information sessions on October 28, 2021, and November 9, 2021.
