Teaching
Whether college or high school teaching is better
posted about 14 years ago
It seems clear to many that teaching is quite secondary to research at the college level, especially undergraduate teaching. While research is an honorable endeavor, there are some of us who find teaching to be more important- who prefer to spread knowledge rather than look for it.
With this in mind, can an argument be made that for such a person, to teach at the high school level is a better fit than teaching at the college level?
Does the response to that question change if one is in the STEM fields?
