CAHSS Dean’s Scholarship for Education Abroad – Due this Monday, February 10. Applicants must have at least one major in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and have applied for a study abroad program through UMBC’s Center for Education Abroad. The application is available on UMBC Scholarship Retriever.
Gilman Scholarship – Up to $8,000 for Pell Grant recipients for any study abroad program. Applications due March 6, 2025. Start your application today atGilman Scholarship. Fulbright U.S. Student Program for the 2026-27 Academic Year – Are you graduating in May 2025, December 2025, or May 2026? If so, come learn if the fully funded Fulbright Student Program to conduct research, teach English as a foreign language, or earn a Master’s degree in one of 140 countries is for you. Summer in Ghana - Global Health - ISEP Direct
Experience the natural and cultural beauty of Ghana while studying in Accra, a city known for its beaches, arts scene, and historic landmarks.
Develop professional skills through observational clinical rotations focused on pediatric care or occupational therapy, all while earning academic credit.
Thrive alongside a cohort of peers with the support of full-time, on-site staff throughout the program.
Complement academic experiences through community engagement opportunities such as health education outreach or follow-up health visits.
CET Virtual Events for Students
CET Japan Webinar & Student Panel – Students interested in the arts can learn about CET Japan’s new studio arts courses. A student panel of recent program alumni will present the artwork they created in their Character Design course and discuss their experiences on the program. Kate Maruyama, CET Assistant Director, will share updates on the fall/spring curriculum options and an overview of the student experience in Osaka.

Intensive Chinese Language Study Abroad with CET & Alumni – CET Greater China staff and student alumni will discuss semester and summer programs in Beijing, Taiwan, Shanghai, and Harbin. There will be presentations for 45 minutes, followed by a Q&A session.
