Public Health Brigades Panama
The Global Brigades Panama team needs your support to deliver more holistic and sustainable health programming. Medical Brigades in and of itself is not enough. We need more students to participate in complimentary Public Health programing to run alongside our clinics to address some of the most common and preventable illnesses.
During the medical brigade, volunteers will have the opportunity to work in families homes to construct public health infrastructure alongside local technicians and community members. By rotating the volunteers, over the course of 3 days we can finish the construction of composting latrines and other in-home projects to dramatically impact health outcomes.
This Public Health Program initiative in Panama is designed to more effectively and sustainably improve the lives and health of people living in rural communities where we work. With your support and by adding additional volunteers to your Medical Brigade we can tangibly impact and improve the lives and futures of these community members.
So if you have ever wondered what impact you can have on this world, we ask that you join a Brigade; because if you do not come, you cannot understand all of the small ways how in just one week the exchange of ideas and energy can change the lives of both community members and your own.
