<Title>Apply Now: NAFSA Youth Representatives to the United Nations</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><div><span><h6><span>NOW Accepting applications<span>. Submit by Feb 17th to be considered in first round of reviewing applications.  Applications received on a rolling basis. Apply as soon as possible to be considered.<br></span><span><a href="https://www.nafsa.org/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">NAFSA: Association of International Educators</a> <span>United Nations Member Interest Group is</span><span> accepting applications for undergrad/ graduate students to work as a NAFSA youth representative at the UN. This is a volunteer unpaid position for students who are especially interested in global affairs/NGOs/higher education. NGO youth reps work in collaboration with 2 other NAFSA university designated representatives at the UN to help further the team's mission of fostering global citizens by providing opportunities for youth to engage with the UN's global agenda. This involves assisting the NAFSA UN team with organizing events to engage youth with the NGO/UN community, assisting with UN visits, attending high-level UN events, participating in International Day of Peace, UN Academic Impact Initiative events and more. This 3 credit course focuses will meet in hybrid format Wednesday evenings from 4:30-7 </span><span>and is perfect for those who haven't yet had the chance to go abroad of haven't yet solidified their plans to go abroad; it serves as an alternate path to meeting the GLBL Study Abroad requirement! </span><span>Still hoping to go abroad next Fall or later? Not sure about your study abroad plans at this time?  You can still take this course as one of your GLBL electives, and it provides an </span><span>excellent</span><span> foundation in the cross-cultural competencies that will serve you well in your future travels.</span><div><br></div><span>This course is taught through an experiential learning framework, the goal of which is to enhance global competence skills and instill a spirit of civic engagement in Global Studies majors. <Title>Looking for Study Abroad Scholarships?</Title>
<Tagline>Boren Scholarship Applications Open until Jan 30, 2023</Tagline>

    <div class="html-content"><div>The Boren Scholarship for Study Abroad, an initiative of the Defense Language and National Security Education Office, funds U.S. citizen undergraduates to study languages and cultures deemed critical to U.S. national security. Awards of up to $25,000 are available for programs lasting six months or longer. STEM students are eligible to apply for summer language study awards of up to $8000. </div><div><br></div><div>Students can apply this money to study <a href="https://www.borenawards.org/eligible-programs#languages" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">critical languages</a> throughout the world for summer, semester and academic year programs.     <div class="html-content"><h5><strong><em><span>Financial support available for training in statistics, quantitative methods, and data analysis<br></span></em></strong><strong><span>Scholarships open December 5!</span></strong></h5><p><span>The ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods offers more than $150,000 in student scholarships every year. Our goal is to remove financial barriers to participation in the ICPSR Summer Program and increase access to statistical methods training for students of all different backgrounds.<br><br></span></p><p><strong><span>What do the scholarships cover?</span></strong></p><p><span>ICPSR scholarships provide fee waivers to attend our 2023 summer three-week sessions. The three-week sessions offer a foundational training in research methods, including computation, formal theory, basic statistics, and regression analysis, as well as specialized training in a diverse array of the most advanced, cutting-edge methodological techniques.<br><br></span></p><p><strong><span>Eligibility</span></strong></p><p><span>ICPSR scholarships are open to students in Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy, Education, and several other disciplines. Additionally, we offer diversity scholarships for graduate students from under-represented groups.<br><br></span></p><p><strong><span>Application</span></strong></p><p><span>We will begin accepting applications on December 5, 2022.
