Rolling Thunder

Name: Zach Holtzman

Game Title: Rolling Thunder

Game Format: Third person flight simulator.

Genre: Arcade Flight Sim.

Gameplay and Mechanics: Fly a YB-40 gunship on historical missions over occupied Europe. Protect bomber formations from the Luftwaffe as they carry out raids. You lose points for bombers lost and gain points for bombers that survive. Credits are awarded after each mission (depending on success), which can be used to buy upgrades for your plane. All weapons (aside from hardpoint mounted special weapons, such as cannons or rockets) are AI controlled, meaning that attacking enemies requires tactical decisions on how to maneuver the plane to make the best use of your turrets. Enemies will increase in strength and number as the campaign continues. Campaign will include local co-op (planned) and competitive modes score attack style). Any other multiplayer (if implemented) will also be local.

Planned Engine: Unity 3D

Planned Language: JavaScript, Playmaker.

Proposer Role: Unknown. I am willing to write for the campaign and learn other aspects, although I do have experience with Unity, Playmaker, coding (some) and Blender. I can be a jack of all trades, and my role will come down to what the team needs.

Pitch: Rolling Thunder is game of defense with an arcade twist. Those who work on the game will breathe life into an almost forgotten genre (flight sim).
