Help us develop the future of 3D virtual globes! At Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI), we're looking for UMBC students who want to use cutting-edge tools, reach a large community with their work, and love collaborative software development using GitHub. Join us in solving hard problems in 3D graphics, massive virtual worlds, large-scale web development, and geospatial analysis.
Our open-source WebGL engine, Cesium (http://cesiumjs.org/), is the engine of choice for 3D globes. It has reached 10's of millions of users in fields as diverse as geospatial, aerospace, real estate, sports, and entertainment. Cesium can visualize every satellite in space to every building in Baltimore.
The Cesium team enjoys an entrepreneurial environment with the energy and freedom of a startup, and the backing of an established company. You'll join a great team that also writes books, creates open industry standards, participates in code sprints and hackathons, and organizes and presents at local and international conferences. We have a mentoring culture of writing high-performance, clean, peer-reviewed, tested code.
