Beginning Sunday, March 1, 2020 the following route names, configuration, and scheduling changes will go into effect at UMBC Transit:
Arbutus - Route Map (Weekdays & Weekends) — The existing Arbutus/MARC route will be renamed to Arbutus. The new route will increase service to downtown Arbutus - East Dr. (OCA Mocha), and shorten the time it takes to get to the Satellite Lot.
BWI MARC - Route Map (Weekdays - See Arundel for weekend BWI MARC service) — The current Arbutus/MARC route will be split into two routes with BWI MARC being an entirely new route. The new route color will be black and service will be closely aligned to the MTA 201 and MARC train schedules. This route will provide access with a bus stop at the RAC circle on the outbound trips, and will service the loop on the inbound trips.
Arundel - Route Map (Weekends) — The existing Arundel route will now service BWI MARC/Amtrak Station / MTA 201 Commuter bus, on both outbound and inbound trips to Arundel Mills Mall.
Downtown - Route Map (Weekdays & Weekends) — This route will now provide access with a bus stop at the RAC circle on the outbound trips. Stop #5. Greene St. & Fayette St. (UMB) is officially changed and moved to stop #5. Baltimore St. & Greene St. (UMB)

We made it through the first week of the semester, so let's talk about a great resource that can help you be successful: SI PASS!
SI Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) are weekly review sessions led by trained student leaders. Not only have SI PASS leaders succeeded in the course before, but they also attend classes along with you so they can help you be successful.
The best way to find out more about SI PASS is to attend a session! SI PASS exists for select BIOL, CHEM, ECON, MATH, PHYS, and SPAN courses. For session times, please check with your SI PASS leader.
SI PASS allows students to interact with the material in dynamic ways. Sessions allow students to compare notes, discuss readings, develop organizational tools, and prepare for tests.

Need a placement test to register for courses?
Online placement available for Math, English and Reading
If you plan to take your first math or English course in 2020, and you need to take a Placement Test, now is the time!
Current students who have never taken the Placement Tests should fill out this testing request form. The tests are online and you can take them when you are ready.
You may be exempt from taking one or more of the tests. Check out the Placement Testing exemptions website for details.
If you have taken the Placement Test before but you have a question about your results, please email us at the ASC. Your email should include your full name and your UMBC Campus ID.
