Calling all transfer students! This semester is all about YOU, and we’ve lined up e
vents designed to help you thrive. Whether you’re looking to make new connections, explore resources across campus, or discover how to shape your own unique UMBC journey, these events are the perfect place to start.
Come to one, come to some or better yet, come to ALL (we know you want to!). Each event is a chance to meet fellow Retrievers, build your community, and take full advantage of everything UMBC has to offer.
Take a look at our flyer for details, and get ready to kick off a Fall ’25 semester filled with connection, growth, and success. Here’s to making your transfer experience truly your own!

Happy First Day of Summer Session Retrievers!
Academic Success Center Support for Summer 2025 will be available online and in person starting tomorrow, May 28th to August 15th, Monday through Thursday, from 11 am to 4 pm. Schedules are now available on our website.
Session I
- From 11am to 3pm, all tutoring will be by appointment only, and students are free to choose whether they prefer an online, or an in-person appointment.
- Drop in tutoring will be available for select courses between 3pm and 4pm. Please check the schedule on TracCloud for drop in and appointment time availability.
Summer Session I course tutoring includes: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Math, Economics, Statistics, and ASL.
All Writing Center support will be by appointment only, and will primarily be provided online, unless requested otherwise. Writing Center support is available for any written assignment for any course.
SI PASS support will be provided either in-person or online for Math 106, BIOL 141, and SPAN 201 (Summer Session I).

Join us for the final Good Morning Commuters of the semester on Tuesday, May 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Sports Zone. We're closing out the spring with a traditional breakfast and one last opportunity to engage, unwind, and build community before the semester ends.
Good Morning Commuters is complimentary with your Commuter Gold Card.
Gold Cards are a one-time per academic year purchase and are available to be purchased at every GMC with cash only.
Gold Cards at $5 for Commuters
$10 for Residential & Graduate Students

GMC will be hosted every Tuesday morning from 8:30am to 10:30am. It is complimentary with your Commuter Gold Card.
Gold Cards are a one-time per academic year purchase and are available to be purchased at every GMC with cash only.
Gold Cards at $5 for Commuters
$10 for Residential & Graduate Students
**if you purchased a Gold Card in Fall 2024 then it is still valid!
