SGA Initatives Night

Join SGA at their 5th Annual UMBC SGA Initiatives Night taking place at Commons Main Street on Monday, December 11 from 6pm – 8pm!
SGA officers will be sharing information about the initiatives they have been working on and campus projects they are dedicated to implementing during their term. Topics include student life, access to committees, maximizing campus resources, supporting student mental health, upcoming engagements and stress-free events, involvement opportunities as well as new projects that benefit the UMBC community. Undergraduate students are invited to connect with us and get involved in all the action! Learn more about what we do, ask questions, provide insight, feedback and share your ideas.
This event is open to undergraduate students only! Free pizza, drinks, and merch will be available for attendees.

Get some free fresh produce and other food items, brought to us by local food recovery organization So What Else! (Thursday, December 14th from 2:15-2:45pm).

As the semester comes to an end, here are some resourceful events happening next week.
McNair Study Hall
Join the McNair Scholars for their study hall on Wednesday, December 13th from 9am-5pm at Sondheim Hall 101.
The 9am-12pm session will serve as a space for Scholars and Friends of the program to work together, like an unstructured Bootcamp session. The 1-5pm session will be open to current applicants who are in need of assistance or second opinions on their application.
Scholars and Friends (and applicants) who are present during our designated lunch block will be included in food count. We will also have snacks throughout the session.
Please note that this is a free-flowing session, so you may come in and out as you see fit! All McNair Admin Staff do plan to be at the entire session.
Wellness Wednesdays
Join the Peer Health Educators for Wellness Wednesdays! This Wednesday, December 6th from 12-1pm, stop by The Commons Mainstreet. Come learn about coping strategies by taking part in a fun competition and win a prize!

Hang out with the (seb) executive board and get a behind the scenes look at the planning process and upcoming events! Join seb on Monday November 27th from 12-12:50pm.
Executive Functioning Workshop 1
Executive functions are things we do daily that help us get things done, like making lists, managing a schedule, and setting reminders. Workshop attendees will work on developing skills to overcome barriers to success, including time management, task prioritization/implementation, motivation, and self-accountability.
Join Retriever Integrated Health at the Center for Well-Being 118 on Tuesday, November 28th from 2:30pm-3:30pm for their non-clinical series. No appointments or consultations are required and all UMBC students are welcome!
Bible Study
Join Bethel Campus Fellowship on Wednesday, November 29th in Lecture Hall one @7pm. They will be looking at boldness in the faith and in sharing Jesus throughout this semester. Join them to experience worship, fellowship, and the Word together! Bring a friend or two!

Keys to Success: Relieve Some of your Networking Stress
Walking into an unfamiliar space and being surrounded by many unfamiliar people with the intent to “network” can feel awkward, even frightening. This workshop aims to relieve some of the stress around networking. Networking is a formal term that means relationship building. When you build genuine professional relationships, you become more aware of your skills and professional brand. In this workshop you will learn when and how to network - both online and offline. Learn not only how to expand your professional circle, but how to build stronger relationships in general, no matter where you make them.
This event will take place on Monday, November 6, from 12-1pm at The Commons 331.
UMBC Volleyball vs NJIT
