Where did you go to high school?
I went to Paint Branch High School.
When did you go to CSI?
I went to CSI summer 2010.
Why did you decide to go to CSI?
I went to CSI because I wanted a head start to college by earning extra credits and I also wanted to learn about the campus. I got a chance to meet faculty and familiarize myself with resources on campus.
Did you know anyone else in CSI when you started?
My friend from high school also did CSI with me.
What courses did you take during CSI?
The most interesting thing at CSI was the low ropes course; it was a wonderful ice breaker as well as team bonding experience.
What was the most interesting thing that happened?
Once the school year started, I had one-on-one sessions with the program coordinator and was able to get advice about professional development, resume and job support. We also had lunch reunions with our group.
How did your CSI experience continue once the school year started?
CSI prepared me largely for a college mentality; it prepared me not just for the rigor of UMBC but the challenges of an academic.
What is your major?
I am an Information Systems major.
Would you recommend CSI to other new UMBC students?
I would absolutely recommend CSI for any incoming freshman, it is an opportunity that is well worth ones while.
