2. If helpful to you, consult with your English 100 instructor about a topic or visit http://www.umbc.edu/undergrad_ed/book/essays.html for New Student Book Essay Contest Topics.
3. Make sure your essay is a carefully proofread and clean.
4. Attach this form to a copy of your entry. Deadline: December 27, 2013.
5. Drop off a copy of your entry at the English Department office in PAHB 4^th floor to Jane Porter.  If you have questions, send email to jporter@umbc.edu.
6. Winners will be notified by email by February 14, 2014.
