UMBC is pleased to name Shawn Bediako, associate professor of psychology, as the inaugural recipient of the Marilyn E. Demorest Faculty Advancement Award. Established in 2015 by Marilyn E. Demorest, professor emerita of psychology and Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs from 1998-2010, the award supports the advancement of UMBC faculty in their academic careers, Â facilitates their professional development, and recognizes their contributions to faculty advancement and success at UMBC.
