Volunteers Needed for the Maryland Science Olympiad State To
Saturday, April 23rd at JHU Homewood Campus
What is the MSO tournament?
Over a hundred Maryland middle and high school students participate and compete in more than 30 different science events (e.g. engineering, chemistry, astronomy, robotics, etc.) at the state tournament. We need lots of volunteers to help pull off the event and make this a fun day for all the kids!
Who can help?
Anyone! Your major or experience do not matter. We need a variety of volunteers for running events, registration, directions, exam scorers, award ceremony helpers, etc.
What is involved?
You can pick which events to volunteer at, and you can choose your hours (options range from 6:30am-7:30pm)! Volunteer event supervisors can help set up, supervise, or score the games. Logistics volunteers can assist with helping lost teams, check-in/registration table, awards ceremony, and many more options. Food will be provided and it’s a great opportunity to gather volunteering/community service hours and a meaningful experience for your resume.
